Egg cartons make wonderful paper flowers

You can turn every egg carton into wonderful flowers!

Cut the carton into "cup" like pieces and cut petals in various forms!
The more you try the more patterns you will create....

Paint the flowers, fix some pieces together (punch a hole oder use glue), you can push drinking straw or thin green sticks through the hole.
Add green "leaves".

Recycling Crafts - the IDEA!

Trash to Treasure Art or Recycling Crafts is a trend in the USA. Now in Austria, too....

Over time it was a given that before each English class began, we would take a trip to the recycle room. It was there that we found inspiration as wild and wonderful project ideas jumped out at us from deep within recycle bins and throwaway boxes.
We started making musical instruments from flower pots, flowers from egg boxes and nice little presents from jars. Everyone was proud...and now:

The more we make, the more we dream up. Why not share these recycling crafts ideas with others? The following ideas will inspire you to reduce, reuse and recycle throw-away things - why?... just to reduce waste, to think "ecologically", to save money and to create individual little pieces of art and decoration: e.g. envelopes from paper and tapestry, jars with leaves, soup-in-a jar,strings-in-a-jar, "apple presents", salt&spice&herbs-in-a-jar... and many more...!

Cheapest and most charming at all: Picture Punches on Bbranches

Take any used paper in colours you like
take a picture punch
punch a handful of motives
glue motives on thin branches - use little stars or flower motives

Looks soooo cute, makes a perfect decoration for yout table or vase in seasons where there aren´t any flowers yet...

What to do with roses....

When you get a bunch of roses there will come a time where the blossom is no longer perfectly fresh.
You can turn them into "sugar roses" and decorate cakes with them.
They get a "frosted" or porcelaine look and can be eaten or kept for a long time....

Steps-to:
some roses
egg-white in a bowl
sugar

You cut off the stem, put the roses into the egg white (turn and twist a bit),

then you turn the wet buds in sugar all over.
Let the stuff dry on paper in the stove (heat about 50°, for about 3 hours - check while drying).

Food gifts in a jar

Americans are specialised on that idea:

Food gifts in a jar typically include all the ingredients to make or bake something -
They can be cookie mixes, cake mixes, hearty soup mixes, bread, buns, pastry ingredients, salt & pepper, seasoning mixes, hot beverage recipes,....
any recipe that will keep well in a jar pretty much works.

Sometimes the ingredients are all layered in the jar and this can look quite attractive if there’s some contrast between the colors!

After filling the jars, you can decorate the lids to look pretty. Make sure to add

the list of ingredients and recipe directions for cooking or baking the mix or how to use the gift :-)

Practical and nice sachets

You will need that for presents or decoration, everybody will like them!
